How Much is Too Much?

Hello one and all!

How much stuff do you own beyond the essentials?  Every time I clean my home and go through my belongings, I always have multiple bags of items to get rid of.  On the one hand, I am paring down my belongings significantly each time.  On the other hand, I’m either not doing a sufficient job the first time or I am gaining new things too quickly.  Most likely, my issue is a combination of both.

I’m not going to do a massive purge of my belongings, but I do want to develop a system of organization that will categorize and allot a certain amount of space for what I have.  It may not result in me getting rid of more things, but it will make it clearer what I do and don’t have room for when considering new purchases.

What is your relationship with your belongings?

As always, much love!

    1. A suggestion I have often seen is to keep track of when you actually use your items. For example, if you haven’t even looked at something in a year, it’s time to let go. I’ve tried using that thought process with some success; perhaps it will work for you as well!
